Exactly! See villains are supposed to be massive obstacles that also serve as focal points for the protagonists growth. In the case of Iris and many other manga webtoons they were reduced to STEPPING STONES. Rather than an obstacle they were, at best, mud on the street.
This is what I want to see in my villains! You get such a vivid impression of despair. I'm kinda tired of how villains seem so cartoonish. i don't mean petty, but how they are so easily defeated. Look at the lady with a smartphone webtoon. That did a terrible job with the villains being so predictable that they were jokes. Thia bitch is a real villain. One I can't wait to see die a horrible death alongside her followers. I hope the goddess curses them all for their actions.
