Both brothers want the best for her and want to protect them.
All people, however, choose different ways to protect someone. Therefore, for one hiding things could be protecting an individual, for another telling and explaining everything could mean exact the same.
In my opinion, the second way is better HOWEVER, both are acceptable as long as they're done in good faith. ^^
pls don't forget that he treats chloe as an individual, and not just a kid. an individual meaning he lets her know what she need to know. he never think that "she's too young, she won't understand" (no shade to crown prince i love him too!♡) his mindset was "she's a royal. she need to know. she needs to learn in order to grow." wow that kinda rhyme BUT U GET MY POINT RIGHT??? HAHAHAHA. i mean like he's always teaching her stuff about the real world w/o making her think that he's lecturing her. he also told the story about the family curse in a way that she'll be able to easily understand and it won't scare her. he warned her about that sly fox too!! over all, I LOVE HIS CHARACTER!!!
