You really think the nobles would be willing to adopt a "lower than" commoner kid out of nowhere? And yes, commoner COULD be knight, but that is usually knights for NOBLES, to be a ROYAL knight, you need to have some social status, just like how all ROYAL servants are nobles, ie. Barons' children, etc. To be able to work directly for the royal as commoner, it was very, VERY rare.

True, you do have a very valid point...
hmmm this makes the situation harder than I anticipated...
still, putting him to do the same work as before would be more harmful than beneficial, right?
I mean how could he possibly be recognized when all he is doing is cleaning the halls and helping in the kitchen?
Do you have any other ideas? I saw that as an option but if it isn't we should find another. AH, there is a magic tower somewhere right? He could be taken in and raised as a mage or something... OH what if a knight/ "noble" / whatever, starts to use him to their advantage? Bad for mental health since he will be alone but could happen right?
Idk maan, I am trying to find a solution but everything sounds so unlikely to happen...
I can't wait to see how the story plays out and how Theo will push through it!
I get that he is a commoner and can't get a rank just like that. That would be impossible and unrealistic. But like, come on! He is a little kid! They could at least treat him a little nicer? Like, it must hurt A LOT to finally get rid of the slave Sunday only to be a little better-treated slave. While his friend who was just like him gets everything she ever wanted without lifting a finger. And from the little moment we saw, it doesn't look anywhere near to being recognized as something better.
I think maybe having him be adopted by a noble family would help? Though that might hurt his pride a little, on the other hand, it might be easier for him to be recognized as something better that way...
As far as I know, commoners can also be knights... any adoptive family would do in that case...
but if he manages to become a knight would he be able to end together with Cloe? That depends on how their feelings develop... maybe they want to stay friends? But I do think he is a love interest...? So if he does manage to become a knight how hard would it be to end up as her husband? In this story setting it should be easier since they now value love... but they might drift apart because of the curse, regardless if it's broken or not.
Would he be recognized as the emperor after he marries? probably not since he isn't of the Askanier family... AH IF they would marry, Cloe would be the empress, like, instead of the emperor, and Theo would be like a prince or male concubine... king? Nah, maybe emperor without much power... either way Cloe will be the one wearing the pants in this relationship :)
OH GOSH, this got long... so here is a short SUMMARY: it would be better if he were adopted, would be easier.
Of course, now, I don't really know how the nobility is organized in this story but I still think it should be possible
