ik everyone has been saying that nine has been annoying the past few chapters but i feel like his overly doting behavior + melissa chastising him for it is necessary in order for him to become the ml. at this point in time, melissa still treats nine mostly like a pet or something cute and interesting rather than a romantic prospect, and he puts her on a pedastal and sees her as more of a god/savior than just a girl, so he needs to undergo some character development (as does she to realize that he doesnt follow the plot of the story) in order for them to ‘see’ each other
