Pretty much. Then when they decide it's time for their happy ending they get it just like that. I know of like..4 shoujo tho where the guys actually lose the girl for hesitating because another guy swoops in and steals her. :P Not much but at least it shows some ppl are willing to ditch the cliche of the sobby tragic dark haired boy getting the girl.
