Oh I don't know all the details but in his 3rd life he was corwned emperor and then Chitra showed up and killed him lol. In his 4th life he married Chitra but stayed involved politically, so he was poisoned to death (his prime suspect is Tornian lol). Chitra aims to take over the throne in both lives I think so this time he just gives up and wants to go with the flow while Chitra takes over the throne (again).
