The only way the ML's responsibility for r@ping her when they met five years ago could be mitigated in *any* way is because he was drugged and in desperate need of help, not because she's somehow responsible for the way she *reacts* to an abuser like she has, which is unfortunately what that statement about her blushing for him blatantly implies.
