You're partially right about her feigning innocence, but she is not pleases by her situation. She was pressured by her mother to get that job and to look for a suitable husband. Moreover, let's not forget that she has to pay her family debt. And you cannot expect her to grow up as a normal kid when your mother keep trying to kill you and you have to forgive her every she put a knife on your throat.
i hated her since the first scene when she is holding the hands of the crown prince and flirting openly with him in front of the fiancee.. like tell me you're not a bitch in doing that.. argh i would like it better if she's evil rather than the goody two shoes which feels so fake.
She is not a nice person, but a passive one, if the prince wants to flirt, she goes along with it, even though she knows that it is wrong. I am not defending her, but I think that she is pitiable, because at the end of the day all of those girls are trying to make it out alive
I dont support her either (in fact, I might even hate her, but that's too strong a word.) Though you have to take into account the time this is set in, where the price for insubordination can be your own head. I have to hand it to her though, she can be subtly manipulative, even covert about it. Her character is meant to be disliked.
Although judging a certain number of people for a specific taste can be a little extreme, isn't it? By this logic, we can count ourselves as the same people who misjudged Eris at the beginning.
If she dosnt like the "atention", how come she seeks out the men she knows have feelings for her and there by gets their atention. She literaly seeks out the High Priest to get his atention and then same with the Hero... For someone who dosnt like it, she sure goes out of her way to get it... Going all the way to the Temple to see the High Priest and all the way to Town to Meet him... Thats to many time to be pure coincidents! The same with the Crown prince.. she knows he is always keeping an eye on her, yet she keeps seeking Eris out and causing misundrstandings..
The reason Eris has to watch the Prince flirt with Helena is because Helena insiste the prince invite his Fiance Eris.. every bloody time and eris has no right to say no..

Pls I read ch 25 and I understand why helena hated eris. Imagine many years being bullied and looked down upon by eris bcs of her status, I could only understand why she wanted to be rich to attain status so that she wouldn't be dragged and looked down upon by other bcs of her status

They both have it rough. Helena's mother tried to harm her, blamed her for her father and relatives deaths, og eris bullied her. If it wasn't for our mc reincarnated into eris' body, we would've hated og eris
We dont have to forgive Og Eris but while she took her anger out on Helena the prince took his out on Eris.. So Eris directed it at the person whom she found to be the cause aka Helena (she couldnt direct it at the prince).. The Prince never liked Eris.. and yet she had to deal with his sidefling always being around as "the princes playmate".. Even a child could see that aint right.
Peope say that Helena is feeling bothered by the attention their giving when she’s clearly feeling pleasure by it. It was her choice to apply to that job because she wanted to marry someone rich to raise their status and get back their tittles and now she’s feeling burdened by it? Not in a billion years that I would fall for that. Helena also keep pretending that she’s innocent and keep pushing the female lead. Helena was the reason that the relationship between Eris and the Prince became bad because she keep creating problems so Eris could hate or hurt her like bitch tell me if I’m wrong you can’t right? Saying she’s the victim when she is clearly allowing for the things to happen and she’s also fucking fully aware that she’s destroying Eris but still continue to make that act like who is the more piece of shit now huh? She also wanted to be friend with Eris when she can’t even respect her opinions and request and keep forcing her and even steal his fiancée now tell me, tell me she’s innocent.
