cherry magic has a live action drama that got really popular in japan and was broadcasted on mainstream channels though. do you have any reason why you can't just go look for it online to watch instead of wasting your time complaining about something you hate?

You don't think they change things in anime adaptations?? Have you ever watched an anime because none of them if not 99% of them do not follow the original plotline from the comic/novel they were adapted from. You say "probably" but have you even watched the live action? How do you know if there's an anime they won't change some scenes? This webcomic doesn't have a live action and cherry magic doesn't have an anime. But the both of them have the same number of adaptations, just in different forms so it's still fair. Why they chose anime for one and not the other, who knows but just because you don't like live actions doesn't mean it can't be a good adaptation. The anime for this series isn't even your average 20-30min episode, it's 4 minutes. You think six 4 minute episodes is going to do justice to your "god tier" BL compared to 14 20-30min episodes of the live action? BL in general is a very tiny niche in JP media, there's no way you'll get the same quality of animation and script writing as series like bnha or jjk so you're setting yourself up for disappointment that way.

Yes, there are a lot of "better" BLs out there but that doesn't mean it's necessarily bad.
