I think she doesn't feel confident that Lionel will stay with her even tho she likes him, and maybe he'll start a new story with that other guy where she'll be the supporting role again.... That's sad to think but it's just how I understand it
Yea idk. Because throughout the story lionel seemed to like josey. Like he even used him grandma's ring on her head as crown. And even accepted her confession. I dont think he'd just accept it half-heartedly. My best guess is that guy is a new character for something else

Doubt it. Its been completed for quite awhile now. I finished this a long time ago and just reread it here now. Even now im still confused at the ending.
