If my friend told me that they were planning to let someone poison them, I would ask them wether they have lost their mind. That is also part of being a friend. Taking care of each other, and telling the other when it is obvious that they are doing something dangerous. And Melissa tends to just jump into danger! If I were in Nines place I would also call her out for that and not want to take part in that...
i'm actually agreeing with you like if my friend had been through many death flags situation and they always seems to pull out a solution that is like 100% guaranteed, plus if it is someone like melissa, she seems to know the risk she is throwing herself into so if i were melissa's friend hearing her plan, i would just help and support her because i trust in whatever she has under her sleeves
but she said she's doing this because she has yuri's powerful magic? plus shes telling them to find out what kind of poison it is to make extra sure she is safe by getting the antidote...

I'm probably gonna be downvoted for this, seeing all the other comments, but i dont think Melisa is in the wrong here... nine is being overprotective, its fine to voice his concerns but he cant just force her to change her plans, she's his savior, employer and friend, he should ultimately respect her decisions, especially considering they are logically sound...
