See the thing is he went abroad to get stronger for the FL and claims he's only ever loved her and always planned on returning for her so they can get married only to then reveal that he'd been sleeping around with various other girls while abroad and despite knowing where the FL was living he not only doesn't go see her upon return but starts working as a host servicing (and probably sleeping with) women, it's only when he actually meets FL that he remembers that "she's the only one for me" and pulls up like sir????
