Some would cause they didn't acknowledge the princess yet, i think. and it's not something easy to do and adoption is also an option and an easier one so why not push with it without having the nobles open their mouth less

Acknowledged or not, they can't deny she's the princess when her eyes changes colors that only a royal does plus adoption or not, they should've done it right when Theo moved in. Kinda disrespectful to the person who protected your sister tbh but anyways I think the author just did it for the drama or they forgot about Theo because they're busy introducing new characters.

Theo helped and protected the only princess that will save the cursed imperial family, you guys can give him a noble title or two without having him get adopted and nobody would oppose
