His family is one of that elite alpha families. His big sis was the bright child while he was always in her shadow. Because of this, he has some self steem issues. He always dreamed of finding his mate and get married bc of love instead of money and power (what his parents wanted).
When Matthew met Hayoung, he knew that they were fated. He fell for him at first sight and tried to approach Hayoung little by little. Hayoung never really liked Matthew, he just thought he was a hottie (he's a sucker for handsome bois) but didn't felt that they were fated or something.
When Matthew finally manage to sleep with Hayoung, his inner alpha takes control and he shifts from caring prince to toxic and abusive.
