the wings was not stated nor part in the novel, and Jiu didn't know that her Father is a vampire. But it was stated that her father chose to be awaken for her mother
it was said that he chose to be awakened, and was described by a bat who transformed as a child, that Jiu's father needs to drink blood
and her father being a vampire was described in chapter 1770-ish?? like 1770-1779 if I'm not mistaken. It was in the part of the novel where her father has its own moments/chapters
