I was actually laughing at the idea of this because yes, it is stupid, but in a way it makes sense cause at this point the only thing in her mind is going home. She could care less about any other things in her reincarnated life, even though she really should. I especially laughed at just seeing one panel be from viche getting scolded to "five years have passed" glad a time skip happened though

When i was reading the chapters... I feel that the FL are doing everything cause someone did tell her: follow the flow of the story and you can go home...
Most of isekai world - fls fell in love and well they have a bad experience in the former world or modern world they used to live...
Thinking of Vinche - shes just being realistic. She wants to go home. As someone who were isekai'd in a novel - shes consistent in her resolve to go back.
So for those who thinks shes stupid and no brains - i think they're the one not truly understanding the fl and her desire to wish to go back home.
She isnt delusional nor thinking that anyone can fall for her - after all she is about to die.

People will naturally be dense if they have a goal they have to conquer. Of course the lady lead is dense because her goal is to go home so of course she won't think of any unnecessary probabilities if those probabilities won't affect her chances of going home. She already said "Why would I need a groom if I'm going to die anyway and go back to my own world?" So she's already dismissed any chances of her falling in love so that she can return to her world without attachments.
If I were in her shoes and I knew I reincarnated in to a novel and there was a surefire chance I can get home? Of course my feelings for everyone would be similar to close acquaintances and/or similar to me taking a business trip for an extended amount of time and knowing I'm going home later. No way in hell am I going to fall in love on a business trip that's totally nonsensical and an obstacle. I get where she's coming from.
