Magi dude (Arthur, green eyes) saved Charley, gave her the book and danced with her. The king (gold eyes) chatted with Charley at a garden when she and him where tailing Kara and sir Russel on their date, and he fell for her then. Charley remembers the magi the life-saver but not the annoying flirtatious king.
