Yeah, and you just know that these fucks are drinking that deep Kool-Aid. I'm just waiting for their decision to empower all the people that they've fucked over to blow up in their faces. they literally are the equivalent of arsonist-firefighters. Like really; you kidnap them, mindfuck them, imprison them and coerce them into betraying their country, force them to capitulate at every turn and somehow think that if you throw a few crumbs your way, that they won't bite open your throat one day. I really like how the author put an emphasis on the name vows that Dark makes because. His name isn't actually Dark and nobody knows this but the family he was staying with at the start. Given that name vows are extremely important especially in Asia, he can easily say "well, I never actually vow/pledged/promised anything because my name's not Dark." And of course, they use the premise of Rightful Land ownership to justify cruelty, brutality and bloodshed but somehow they're the only victims here.
i dislike krataus. they are pathetic losers. they are like some idiotic gang that overestimated themselves and went into a professional martial arts academy and got their asses whooped and went to jail...and now they plot revenge...like what revenge? you caused that shit yourself. and are sacrificing people AGAIN because of your own mistake. instead of trying to get independent with the land you have and be a kingdom, you are just as greedy as corrint. and are on yet another killing spree of innocent people who are just doing the same as you "trying to maintain a stable and safe life with purpose"...forcing the king of trovia to forsake his life so you would help the kingdom you sent to doom yourself out of a pinch...why did he have to die? he could have become a something like your "war prisoner" and lived at your court, stripped off of his authority, as leverage that the nobles hold still. so he could have a normal life as a person instead of a king. i hate this war shit i swear....
