I can tell what her problem is right away. She has a HEAVY dose of Toxic Codependency Syndrome. Those who are Codependent need the other person for emotional support. But in the childhood friend's case, her Codependency levels are so high that she treats it as if it is life threatening. As a result she is extremely desperate to keep him no matter what she has to do. Even if that includes lies, manipulation, hiding the truth or breaking his self esteem. And to add insult to injury, nobody called her out on her toxic behavior which implanted the idea that her toxic behavior was right. So, yeah. She don't need him. SHE NEEDS THERAPY!!!
This was nice. I hate when there is a tsudere trope that is just full on toxic. It’s usually the guy minding his own business and then the girl just full on verbally or physically harassing him. They try to make it seem cute that the girl is dishonest about her feelings but most of the time it’s just toxic abuse on their part. Nice to see a change where the guy decides to leave.
Also don’t like how this girl is gonna go to the village and think she can just fix everything. The fact that it also took her months to realize why the guy left in the first place shows how she didn’t think her actions were abuse or bad. I still don’t think she understand how bad her actions were. Because if she did at this point she should have know to leave him alone because she doesn’t deserve him.
