The novel is actually different idk if the manhwa would follow but they said that MC is a biased narrator since she was actually mentally ill to the point that she doesn't like her own son and neglected him due to her depression and she also had manic episodes in which she accidentally hurt her child that she was forbiden to see Elle. It was actually really sad and it all stems down to her own father. She only begged for the child back in her past life because she thought she was being replaced. But even in the novel, the ML still has no backbone and was easily poisoned by his ex-fiancé and pretty much left MC for dead because they painted her as someone who has lost their wits 'til the day she died.
