Imagine if this was in ancient china setting. There would have been the feet binding tradition and her feet would have looked deformed before wearing the shoes.

    Oh gosh, and she does not have tiny feet. The pain.. Even if it is in that setting.. She was originally impersonating a man... So she probably wouldn’t have done it? I think usually the habit is learned from the mother and started at a very young age, and she didn’t have one. But it’s been awhile since I learned Chinese history.

    I mean it would depend on the time period. Foot binding was only popular from the 10-12th century to early 1900s. China's history goes back way farther than that though so if it was set in previous dynasties there would be no foot binding involved

    Ooh, another good point! It’s been so long, I’d forgotten when the trend had started!

    Also, idk about anyone else, but I would’ve been screwed if I was born in China when that was majorly popular. Because I do not have tiny feet.. -Cries- Though if I started binding my feet at an early age, it wouldn’t of mattered. But still!
