she does come back later. i dont think it was her intention to ice him out, but he clearly did things that pushed her away and doesnt feel comfortable reaching back out ot her. we dont know much about her pov at this point so we dont know what her reasoning for not staying in contact is. but considering the architect of the MC's pain is her own brother, and her own parents are firmly on her Brother's side....I can see why she felt it would be to both their benefit to not see each other regularly post divorce. but who knows. i hope we find out when she returns (much much later in the story is when that happens)
