Dont get me wrong, the pace is pretty fast and I can understand the frustration with that. The miscommunication element is frustrating too. But I'm really glad we FINALLY got a ML with genuine flaws. 99% of the time, the big bad ~merciless~ male lead is always too kind and instantly cares for the FL. At least this time we have a character working through his feelings and confronting his flaws, trauma and what he's done. He's a genuinely bad, TYRANT EMPEROR. Seriously guys, its in the name...
There's so many sappy generic healthy relationship series out there, let some of us have darker ones. Not everything needs to be wholesome uwu perfect romance.
