I know right. If theyre fired then the place wouldnt have rumours anymore. And she wouldn't have to hear them. In the first place, spreading rumours in workplace is unethical and worthy of getting fired for me lol
True and especially with her position compared to them, she doesn't really need to worry herself of what they're saying about her because they're just maids. They don't hold any standing in their society.
I know but you have to remember that this is high society. This is during a time where a women’s image has to be pure and innocent. Rumors spread fast and those type of rumors can damage a women’s reputation.
That’s true I’m a lot of traditional countries now. But rumors will exist regardless of whether or not the lady is pure. Because the rumors don’t care what’s true. They exist OUTSIDE reason. Which is why I said “fuck it and forget about it.”

He had a solid point. Look at it this way: even if they did what she’s saying, people talk, no matter what you do. If it’s not one thing, it’ll be something else. What are you going to do? Dedicate your entire life chasing approval you have no control of?
Maybe if it was family or someone important, they could consider changing behavior. But these are strangers. MC should really focus on living her second life peacefully, like she said she would. She should concern herself with the nephew’s happiness like she said she would.
