Well... it could be that all they did was the price to pay for momentary peace. Everyone's sacrifice lived on for generations. Hey, I never felt the Mikasa ft Jean vibe but, what can we do? The man had loved her since he met her and probably was the only one ballsy enough to be with a woman like Mikasa, who has lost the closest friend, family and platonic lover and would continue to yearn for years to come. Not to mention, that panel wiping his trust on people off is hilarious! So it was probably a full circle moment. And I agree! This extra is wonderful. I feel like crying too.
i feel like it was all for nothing watching that panel with the planes dropping the bombs, and the ruined landskape after, i just think about erwin, levi, sasha, connie, jean, armin, mikasa and ofc eren, and it feels like all their pain and suffering lead to nothing. but im not saying that isayama should've done it any different. the only thing i personally dont like is mikasa with jean, but other than that these extra panels were really good imo, the ending is really tragic wich makes it good but also breaks my heart. i cried for two days when i first read the ch139 and probably gonna go and cry again.
