Chef has never once smiled throughout all this. He's only ever shown that guarded or thoughtful expression like, all the time. Even when he's slightly happy or nervous he wears the same look, but with maybe a lil blush on his cheeks to make it obvious. Those thick eyebrows of his appear to be stuck where they are with the corners always slouching down conveying his permanent serious attitude. I guess he's not much for facial expressions. But point is he never smiles.
