It will stop them for getting their desires like seth "family" Osiris "Seth" Nepthys " Death and isis "osiris. While they are being in curse those who are involved like Horus or anubis Seth's main reason for him being curse are slowly being devoured by the curse the you want the desire the harder it can't be get (?) The curse get them to their madness , guilt, obsession and more negative emotions that slowly rot them and eat them. And they won't be free from it's curse until Isis last breath. (That's wht I understand.)

The only unmistakable instances so far, where the author practically spelled out an intervention from Isis' curse for us, were the two times that the curse clearly acted out to separately thwart what Neftys and Isis herself were trying to do, at least once: one time was when Isis' curse thwarted Neftys' suicide attempt (back in the past, right after her infidelity was disocvered) and another time was when the curse thwarted Isis' own attempt to flood Egypt.

And the nepthys part yes it's the curse doing since it's taking action. Since nepthys desire is to die and the curse is she can't die so how many times she committed suicide or something she won't die.
I included that time when Isis' flood attempt was thwarted because if you check it in chapter 57 you see the shadowed form of Isis' past self (from when she first cast the curse) appearing before the present-day Isis (right when she's trying to flood Egypt) and asking her "Who gave you permission to do this? You too shall not have your way"... and later on in chapter 64, Thoth explicitely tells Isis that it wasn't just hi, Maat, Geb and Ra who ruined her attempt, but that also her own curse had been one of the factors to work against her, thwarting her plan.
