It never actually changes. Ian's entire self worth if dependent on Raymond's whims and actions. In some ways thats realistic given his trauma and savoir dependency. It just gives a happy ending despite Ian being too good for Raymond and every character acknowledging this including Raymond that Raymond is a trash person in every way.Just he's the attractive main character so he can do no wrong in this make believe story I stuck around because I like Ian's characterization, but it's exhausting the whiplash of the plot and its readers hating then fawning over toxic Raymomd because he did the bare minimum as a sad boy fuck boy.
this is so annoying i hate how weak is ian!!! Ray is playing w him he should be mad at him not fking and why should he marry the princess? He got his revenge im so mad even tho ik they’ll probably end up happy
