It doesn't make sense for the duke to dismiss Anna tho, he was the one that asked that Lucia's illnes to be cured, and she will only do that, now if Philip tries to manipulate Lucia so that he can get their future daughter to be with the duke's son, then yeah he should fucking die!

He didnt manipulated Anna per se, but he will be taking advantage of Anna's kindness and hunger to learn, Anna will be used. What makes Hugo (and the readers) is what he did after knowing Lucia's pregnancy (he kind of anticipated and calculated) which is him threatening Hugo because he knows Hugo's weakness is Lucia.
Anna will be forced to resign because Lucia came to know that Anna's medicine is from Philip which Hugo doesnt want to be connected to Lucia, another reason is that the medicine's 3 ingredient is known publicly as deadly/toxic (ofc it is not but only Philip and Lucia know that its the cure to her infertility)

Like is the plan from te doctor going to work? I really hope that it won't happen and the will kill Philip when they found out what he did..
