Valid! Dating isn't necessary and it's not the only way of having a genuine connection with a person. I myself am quite lucky to have found a partner who matches my high standards (empathetic, shares the same moral values as me, socially and politically aware, has the same hobbies, and also not a cheater).

I just have seen people who are genuinely like "as long as he don't cheat on me I'm fine with what he does" when he scams people and actively hurts the taxpayer by stealing money or committing crimes and stuff like that, so it's just a general red flag to me when someone says that, even as a joke. It just indicates a lack of morality and empathy for people. Cheating is bad, but so is murder, being uneducated, not being willing to grow/learn, etc.

All I'm saying is, if you ever do find yourself wanting a relationship, please have more standards than just "as long as you don't cheat on me."
