You know that story about a dingo eating a baby in Australia. Well a big reason people believed that the parents did it especially the mom who was really demonized by the media was because she didn't look devastated enough or like a 'proper' grieving mother. She just had a blank face, she found it difficult to cry, she was just in shock.
"Does a victim have to act like a victim"
I think that line stuck with me a lot. It reminds me of a rape case I was told about in criminology, where the judge basically deemed the offender as not guilty because the victim didn't "seem like she was raped" because she seemed too calm during the trial... it really pisses me off that just because someone doesn't outwardly express their emotions, it doesn't mean it didnt happen.
And also, who are they to come at Dani for not speaking up for herself, when they're the ones sticking in groups and trying to attack a single person. Because their only means of winning any argument is through sheer numbers lol
