no there was no logical reason. just 1 talk would have resolved it all bc u anyway got back with him one yr later and ur mom was pretty healthy which means she could have easily manipulated u for money then as well.
this is why I avoid korean literature, too much unnecessary angst. like literally every person (even the manager) has some sort of sob story or the other. almost as if regular people with regular lives cant exist in manhwa
