She cannot disobey them. The last two chapters show the reason why. She cannot simply “ignore them”, her status as a commoner will not allow that.
Shes forced to act that way. No matter what desicion she chooses someone will always get hurt (which Helena does mention in the recent chapters). And yeah its litterly stated in the 2 current chapters that she is purposely acting dumb & naive in order to survive the position she was forced to follow. She knows the prince's intentions towards her but she cant do anything about it at all due to her status.
She is not innocent she is dumb, person who can't harden her hurt to make a decision and fulfill it. She f*ng can see that her behavior harms others but she still continues to "befriend" with other males. And there is no way she can't see the prince's intentions but still acts like squishy mushy fluffy swan with other males. B*ch get your act together (︶︿︶)＝凸
