I think its to protect blake, as he is stamped as cursed, the emperor does not want blake to suffer more when the nobles know he cherishes blake. And prob the nobles can use blake's curse to use him

This is what I understand too. Look at Ancia as example. As soon as everyone know that emperor is close with her, the duke and her shitty father start to target her. But the reason why Ancia still safe so far is because she's a wife of a "curse prince that everyone thought will never got the throne". I hope you understand what I mean

Why does the emperor(?) treat Ansia(?) like this? Like-- why won't he be affectionate with his son instead/too? Like won't it be more fun if Ansia(?) went to the emperor with our bb boi instead of going by herself?
