Agree. I just find it off-putting that so many people in the comments defend and excuse the actions of the officer. I mean if he had an interesting or fun personality, I would kinda understand it. But I would not agree with it. It's just the officer has such an unlikable personality. With Eros he has an interesting character and background. I of course don't like how rape is so romanticized in yaoi. I hate how most of them are the mc just forgets about it like it never happened, it doesn't have a mental toll on them or just forgives the person who did it cause they "changed" or some bullshit like that. Most of it is just poorly handled and used for shock factor that doesn't contribute to the plot or characters. I don't know, I definitely missed some things. But tell me how you think of this.
I totally agree! I love yaoi/yuri manga for queer representation, but there is a lot of unnecessary rape/sexual assault plotlines. Like the manga has a really good romance and then they ruin it with rape. The officer is acc the most boring character, most seme are, but people like them cuz they r attractive. If we removed the officer from the plot, i feel as if the entire story would stay the same. Hes kinda useless.
