kinda nice that they didn't paint the emperor as someone nice, so I don't have to expect anything from him as the male lead. I like Kang's sassy attitude though. Hopefully, Kang and the empress don't get into fights.
You’re right, Kangs immortal past is also definitely a big point of curiosity! And yeah, I hope this doesn’t evolve into harem struggle melodrama with stupid fights, but I think it’ll be difficult to avoid that
As of now I’m still curious why his majesty is so unsatisfied with his concubine being pregnant, is it because of her family? No matter if she’s a complete bitch I hope he doesn’t try to make her abort (yeah I’ve seen emperors main leads doing that shit before and no it’s not ever justifiable to do such a monstrous thing). Also if the baby is born safely, if it’s a boy I hope the emperor doesn’t hate him. The child is not to blame for whatever political stuff is going on!
The emperor said the child is not from the womb he wanted so I wonder if there’s an specific woman he wished bore him a son.
Also to be honest I think the emperor will sleep with more women through this story, even if for only political reasons, which saddens me (I hope I’m wrong though). MC ascending in 3 years is actually pretty interesting, I’m so curious how ML will react when he knows (I think he’ll go craaazy knowing MC is actually so away from his grasp when the time limit is over ).
