Okay I’m just going to use bullet points since it will be faster and less confusing
*Priest has mind controlled ML into believing church hasn’t done anything wrong when they tried to kill FL by grabbing where her nexus would have been
*FL realizes this, but the first 2 light abilities are harmless so comes to the conclusion that the reason the Priest is worried about her is she is powerful enough to use level 3 nullification which would allow her to release others from his mind control.
*FL testing her theory calls ML to her to try and preform nullification and free him from mind control
*When Hades misunderstands and kisses FL it is revealed FL is saintess reincarnation and the saintess half is able to take over for a moment to push Hades away.
*What we learn from saintess’ words and memories is she has a lover who is not the ML and they promised to remember each other and reunite once they reincarnated. This is why that half is angry at FL for being with Hades as it is a betrayal of her lover and promise to them to be together
Okay here’s the most confusing part coming up I’ll do my best to explain, but let me know if you have any questions
*So priest learns FL called ML to her and is worried he will lose control of the situation if she uses nullification on ML. So he mind controls guards to let him in.
*ML is obviously pissed and telling Priest to F off
*Priest (to be very clear on this) Does NOT know FL is saintess reincarnation. He knows it’s a possibility, but in order to gain control of her he lies and says they determined she is. This is because the law then allows him to take custody of her where he can determine if it is true or not with her under his power (we don’t know for sure why priest wants her since he is a little vague, but this is the implication. There is also a possibility he is saintess’ lover since he has same blue eyes as shadowy flashback of lover)
*FL realizes above and so knows he is lying
*ML points out they used mana suppression medicine and says the don’t have any real proof
*Priest says basically the saintess reincarnates to help stop disasters. Which is a blessing and curse. So the reason they were suppressing FL mana was to prevent saintess reincarnation and hopefully thereby prevent the disaster.
*Priest then says as proof since saintess has nullification it will nullify ML fire magic so he can attack her and see the nullification as proof (This is a win win for the priest. Either she can’t nullify and she dies, problem solved there or she nullifies providing enough proof for others she’s saintess and allowing him to take custody)
*ML is understandably pissed Priest just told him to attack his fiancé
*Priest the says he can give her up willingly or they can go in and take her by force in major magic battle with numbers to overwhelm ML and FL will be fine due to nullification (Again he doesn’t know this, but same situation as above where he wins either way)
*ML is ready to blow a gasket at this point and that is where the chapter ends
