This is one of the most thematically interesting yaoi manhwas I have read in a long time. I really like how they frame and discuss the MC’s feelings, and this unsettling mood that surrounds their interactions. Like something is just. Off. There is a kind of dissonance between both characters desires and their actions that I find really fascinating. I really can’t wait to see how it’s explored, these ideas of charity and altruism, and how being so generous is both selfless and selfish, how becoming a care taker is just as much self serving as it is kind, especially when love and sex are involved. But also interested in exploring like how capitalist pressures makes the MC basically become a sex worker, while trying to reconcile his own feelings of shame, at both his homosexuality and economic difficulties.
