perfect example of Stockholm syndrome. it is so dark and twisted and in that it is so well made. great understanding and portrayal of the psychological situation, the emotional manipulation, the physical and emotional abuse, the coping mechanism of the duke's brain and the result of that. A masterpiece. so fucked up but so well done.
