Dad: *panicking and walking out of banquet hall* WTF? He is dead! He is dead right?
MC: *surprised Pikachu face* Yeah totally killed him, you saw me do it.
He must be a fake, he is most likely a Doll.
The Pendalians (ML's family) must have asked the Noel Veritium (the sleepy nosebleed guy) to make them a Doll/Puppet of their son so they don't have to admit he is dead.
At this point, MC's dad believes anything she says. Also, Dad came for the express purpose of meeting with Noel b/c of his skills, so it is believable.
There will be a tense moment where ML interrupts MC and Dion, but they head home (for an "emergency") before other interactions. All hell eventually breaks loose and the Dad quickly realizes that MC has played him so hard. It is beautiful.
