If I remember the novel correctly he kills himself after being left alone by his whole family once his title and property are taken away. The mom and Aria pretend to be on his side after he wakes up from the coma and he realizes that they care about him more than his own blood did. Then the mom buys a property under her name using his money and asks for a divorce under the pretense that she will remarry him after the Crown Prince takes all the aristocratic properties so that they at least have something left. A second after he signs the divorce papers she’s like “SIKE, BiAtch!” and tells him that he should have been good to her and Aria when he was still healthy, not after being paralyzed from the waist down, and walks away like the bad bitch she is
