aside from aubrey

i like that the author made tia face her music. the pirate king is her slip, while aubrey is not. she made a failsafe mechanism by sacrificing the pirate king but she failed to see the variables that spared him from death. its a little unfortunate that aubrey is used a stepping stone since i reckon pirate king would have made his way to get revenge on her anyway, just so happens aubrey is in exile at the time, bc i would like her to fear the consequences of being wrong and having death loomed over her. i feel bad for the eldest jordin who now have to be a kin slayer because of aubreys blindsided ways.

anyways the author is simply clever with this turns of events.

Wait but didn’t he actually die? Tia turned back the time so he’s alive again and had memories of the previous timeline. I guess she didn’t anticipate that someone else besides her to have memories of the other timeline so she didn’t prepare anything for this scenario.

She only did the grain manipulation in the previous timeline. In the present timeline she did wanted to do the grain manipulation but Cedric was against it since he doesn’t want that type of tactics and asked her to look for a better and more humane solution.
