So, I really hope the brother redeems himself when he comes back. The reality is that he knew his sister was likely being abused, and yet he did nothing except go galavanting off with his friends on adventures and such. Even in the original novel before Adriana reincarnated, he doesn't come back until his sister is already dead, and then he takes revenge.
Overall, he left his vulnerable sister alone in an abusive environment. Yes I know that the stepmother sent him away, but if he was able to go to the celestial realm and participate in a war, he couldn't make provisions to send someone to check up on his little sister???
