Not common. It happened, but rarely and mostly between royalty. Besides, it wouldn't be between first cousins because even then they realized the dangers of that. Usually it'd be a kinship that was further (removed several times or like 2nd cousins). And even if the twins were strangers, it's ridiculous to act like that. Jealousy taken to that degree is simply unhealthy.
I wouldn’t know since in my culture first cousin marriage was once a preferred thing.

I hate Jade. He's annoying and being a jealous prick about your crush's cousins isn't a good look. They're cousins for God's sake. I hate how comics like these always portray that obsessive jealousy as cute. It's not. If that happened irl it would be creepy and overbearing.
Anyways, I'm used to the main love interests in these comics annoying me, so maybe it's a me problem. Though, it certainly isn't my fault that all of the MLs in these fantasy romance comics are basically the same person. The story's decent other than that.
