Personally , this story strikes close to home for me. Not the PPD part but the part about giving up everything you have due to marriage and pregnancy. I'm from a country where arrange marriage is the norm and in the past it was expected for women to give up their studies / jobs and become house wifes. My mother is still so so angry about it . She is also so incredibly depressed . Its like her life stagnated at her 20s when she was told to get married . She didn't have any chance to discover herself and develope her personality. I feel horrible for her . She tells me to study harder so that I don't become like her
