I REALLY LOVE MC. idk, he feels really realistic as the "annoyingly naive" character who comes from a priviledged background with power, who wants to do good. usually those aren't my cup of tea, but i feel like this character archetype was executed SUPER well and i just can't help but love his character. like??? god he's such a good guy. also, even if he's super naive/the righteous hero prototype, he's rather cool-headed, and willing to suspect his brother and his own kingdom (his amnesia probably has a play in things too) rather than deny it or outright ignore the obvious problems of the kingdom. he's not OP, especially since he has amnesia, and things certainly don't revolve around his existence; even when he's proven to be a good guy, people don't easily forgive/believe him, and for good reason (even he understands that as much as i want to give him a hug for trying).

and his juxtaposition with blue-haired asshole, like, love that for them. i really love their dynamic bc it's like we see exactly why they can never properly work together, and for solid reasons too, but we can also see how they have similar goals/paths from very different backgrounds and beliefs. prince doesn't hate him, but he certainly hates the prince, and the way they interact is simultaneously hilarious and kinda sad bc it's like,,, damn,,, in another world yall would've been light-hearted rivals you know.

tbh, super curious as to why the ratings are so low. imo, the current cast (even episodic antagonists) are well-developed and have their own backstories/dimensional personalities without the plot being focused around relationships. also the plot itself is really interesting, i'm curious about king albert and noel, and what'll happen in the future bc technically, even if mc gets all the fragments, what about the history of classism/abuse of his empire's citizens? like. idk. maybe this isn't the best story ever, but imo, it's well developed and solid enough for such a large plot to be at least above a 9.0.
