I honestly don’t know why? Tess acts her age. You probably don’t like her because she seems annoying… which is normally for a 13 year old to be? Grey has the combat experience of like, roughly fifty years at this point in the story but he has the emotional understanding of a child. It all makes sense later in the story when you get more of his background, but Tess probably seems annoying because they’re drastic opposites. Grey is equivalent to a machine while Tess is more equal to a puppy. They wouldn’t seem to mix well, but that’s because Tess has growing up to do, and Grey needs to find his humanity.

i cringed so fucking hard when tess started imagining their kids lmfao. im not sure if the author is doing this on purpose or not but their doing such a GREAT JOB at making me hate all the female characters
