What does NG even mean?

It means "No Good" - as in, a bad take. Like shooting a serious scene, and an actor farts in the middle - the director yells "Cut! Let's shoot it again! Take it from the top!" - that's a "NG."

It stands for "No good" which means we need to shoot this scene again cuz its no good

That is exactly what I did. Then I related the ng to the Korean hangul ㅇ.
