I dont have an opinion on the ml stuff cause thankfully all mls in this story aren't toxic or anything so I'll be happy with whoever but the white haired boy, phon, and fl only have a 2 year age difference??? I dont think that 2 years should be causing any discomfort? Both albert and phon are around the same age, 12-13ish and fl is 11 the only thing is phon probably went through puberty a lot earlier and is just super tall so he looks older but he is still only 12-13, at the very most 14 in this arc, but I doubt it based on the spoilers in novel updates.
the age difference only max 4 y.o. but everyone use the 3 years gap regardless, because they dont count the 1st year
and based on age, it is not much difference from Leslie-Conrad from monster duchess & contract princess (3 year gap), except that Phon is forced to be mature much early due the pressure.
By height, 14 y.o Phon's height is around Nora's <he is also around 14 iirc at the start of the story> (he is the ML from a stepmother's marchen). he is in the taller side because the trashperor is also a tall person.
Maybelle's height is less than 120cm when she was 10 years old, and she is SHORTER than Shuri's twin stepchildren and they are 8 years old. the malnutrition is that bad. Fortunately she can catch up in that height department later in her adult days (she will be taller than Liza)
what cracks me the most is, the one true real package is actually Rykell-Bellerophon , Rykell can't leave the boy alone for a long time except if he meets the emperor (he even force the boy to promise to avoid crossing path with Azathoth at all cost). Maybelle will help later by accepting the rein/tether, but most of the hardwork to stabilize Phon are Rykell's doing.
if Maybelle is playing with the others and Phon is not around, just look for Rykell lol .

after sometime it got kinda boring,, or at least slow paced
the dad and the little fox albert are my favorite characters ♡ wish albert would be the ML he is cute and like a fox cub is a cunning little thing with honest emotions ♡♡
the white haired magic boy freaks me out a little and he kinda of annoys me,, like he is everywhere all the time,, he being the ML is one of the reasons that i dont want to continue reading. the age difference makes me uncomfortable,,
