I am gonna say it... setting fire to a room you can't escape from isn't the brightest idea. Not that she had options to escape but... FIRE should not be the last resort, unless it could unlock a door. Like... there are bars in the window and no gaurds at the door and... lucky magic helped... but what if magic did not suddenly happen?
Pick a lock... take the screws off, maybe practice using magic? Make a shiv... But setting fire to a room? Then expected to break the door with slamming on it? Why not slam the door open THEN set the room on fire once you opened it?
This isn't calculus... it's common sense.
